| TBI Top 10 most wanted fugitive spotted by, gets away from Clarksville Police |
|
Clarksville Police came close to arresting one of Tennessee’s ten most wanted fugitives Thursday, but the suspect wanted for questioning in a shooting incident was able to get away. Public Information Officer Jim Knoll says 39-year old Danyon Lydell Dowlen of Clarksville was spotted by a patrol officer in front of a residence at 117 Sampson Street around 2:45pm. When Dowlen saw the officer, he walked inside of the residence. Since Dowlen is considered to be armed and dangerous, additional officers were called to the scene until crisis negotiators and the CPD Tactical Unit could arrive. Negotiators attempted to contact Dowlen, but there was no response. The team entered the residence around 6:30, but Dowlen was not inside. Police have been seeking Dowlen for being a felon in possession of a handgun and for questioning in the September 18th shooting of Charles Sims. Anyone knowing his whereabouts should call Clarksville Police at 931-645-8477. ** 01/04/2013/am |
