HPD investigating possible meth lab

It’s been a busy night for Hopkinsville Police, who are on the scene of what they believe to be an active methamphetamine lab this morning.

Officer Joseph Garcia says police got a call of possible drug activity at a home in the 1800 block of Dawson Springs Road around 4am. When the first officers arrived, they smelled what they thought to be ether.

Police believed they found an active methamphetamine lab and began the process of obtaining a search warrant. Officer Garcia said at least three people had been detained in connection with the incident as of 6am. We’ll have more information on this story as it becomes available.
