Cadiz woman flown to Vandy after Trigg wreck

A single-vehicle wreck on U.S. 68 in Trigg County this morning sent a Cadiz woman to a Nashville hospital.

The report from Kentucky State Police says 61-year old Nona Bennett of Cadiz was eastbound about 2.5 miles west of Cadiz around 8:40 when she swerved to miss an animal in the roadway. Ms. Bennett ran off the road and struck a tree, trapping her in the vehicle.

The Trigg County Rescue Squad extricated Ms. Bennett from the vehicle and she was flown by Air Evac helicopter to Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
