Someone broke into an elderly Greenville Road woman’s home while she was gone for Christmas, stealing nearly 17-hundred dollars worth of property.

The report from the Christian County Sheriff’s Office says 74-year old Betty Davis of Greenville Road was gone Christmas week and returned home to find her house ransacked.

The perpetrator had taken two televisions, clothing, a safe, jewelry and cash with a total value of $1,675.

Police believe someone forced open a window to get inside and left with the property out the back door. The investigation continues and no suspects are listed on the report.
