New Trigg Judge-Executive sworn in

ALEXANDER

Trigg County officially has a new Judge-Executive after former Cadiz Police Chief Hollis Alexander was sworn in at a ceremony this morning.

Circuit Judge C.A. “Woody” Woodall conducted the ceremony in a courtroom full of Alexander’s former co-workers, friends and supporters.

Judge Alexander says he was humbled to be chosen by Governor Steve Beshear to fill out the unexpired term of Stan Humphries and says he’s excited to get going.

Economic Development and tourism are two areas Judge Alexander wants to see growth and he believes construction of the new bridges over Kentucky and Barkley Lakes are important for both.

Governor Beshear appointed Alexander to the position after former Judge Humphries was elected in November to represent Trigg County and the First District in the State Senate. Major Duncan Wiggins was chosen to replace Alexander as interim chief at the Cadiz Police Department.
