The year got off to a deadly start in Montgomery County Tuesday morning.
Two people were killed in a single-vehicle wreck near the eight mile-marker of I-24 on the westbound side around 5am. The Tennessee Highway Patrol tells WSMV TV that the driver lost control and over-corrected, causing the vehicle to strike a tree.
THP hasn’t released the identity of the victims, pending family notification. We’ll have more information as it is made available.
