DEC31WRECK

Clarksville Police responded to an early morning wreck today at the intersection of 101st Parkway and Peachers Mill Road.

Police say the two-vehicle wreck occurred around 2.30 a.m. after a 2007 Chevy pickup, driven by a 23 year old man, was traveling west on the 101st Parkway when a Chrysler Sebring driven by a 31 year old man, traveling west on the 101st Parkway at a high rate of speed crashed into the rear of the pickup near the intersection of Peachers Mill Road.

Police say the 31-year old driver of the Sebring was taken to Vanderbilt by Lifeflight with a head injury, while the 23-year old male driver and his 32-year male passenger were taken by ambulance to Blanchfield Army Community Hospital for non-life threatening injuries.

Police say preliminary investigation indicates that speed and alcohol may have been factors.
The lead investigator is Officer Bill VanBeber.
