Governor Steve Beshear has appointed the next Trigg County Judge-Executive.
Current Cadiz Police Chief Hollis Alexander will fill the unexpired term of Republican Trigg County Judge-Executive Stan Humphries, who was elected as First District State Senator in November.
The Democrat was among several people nominated to fill the position and will begin his duties January 1st. Chief Alexander had held his current position since 1996.
Judge Humphries’ term expires in 2014, which will be when Alexander can be challenged for the first time.
