A rear-end collision on West 7^th Street Thursday evening sent two people to the hospital.

The Hopkinsville Police report says 49-year old Patricia Lantrip of Hopkinsville was eastbound around 6:30 when she stopped at the Westwood Drive intersection to make a left turn. Approaching her from behind was 43-year old Ashley Joiner of Hopkinsville, who failed to stop and ran in to the back of Ms. Lantrip’s car.

Passengers of Lantrip—11-year old James Lantrip and 40-year old Anthony Johnson of Hopkinsville—were taken by ambulance to Jennie Stuart Medical Center for treatment of back and neck pain. Ms. Joiner complained of pain, but refused medical treatment according to the report. Everyone involved was wearing a seat belt.
