Man injured in north Christian Co. wreck

A Tennessee man was injured Wednesday afternoon when his tractor-trailer overturned on Old Fruit Hill Road.

The report from Christian County Sheriff’s Lieutenant Wade Connell says 52-year old Samuel Climer, Jr. of Cordova, Tennessee was westbound on Old Fruit Hill Road near the Wade Road intersection around 2:15. Police say he was traveling too fast to make a curve and his rig carrying nearly 42-thousand pounds of aluminum rolls overturned.

Climer was disoriented from the shock of the wreck when responders arrived on the scene and he was taken by ambulance to Jennie Stuart Medical Center for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
