| HPD investigates two stolen vehicles |

Hopkinsville Police recently took two reports of stolen vehicles and have made one arrest. Charged with felony theft is 31-year old Joel Boyles of Hopkinsville, who allegedly took a 1996 Chevy Blazer valued at 25-hundred dollars from 26-year old Kristina Moore of Gilbert, Arizona Wednesday night. The alleged theft happened on Dawson Springs Road and Boyles was arrested a short time later at 1529 West 7th Street, according to the arrest card. Boyles was lodged in the Christian County Jail. Meanwhile, a suspect is listed on a vehicle theft report from yesterday morning on West 2nd Street, where 47-year old Jeffrey Caldwell of Hopkinsville told police someone took a 1965 Chevy Impala belonging to him. The car turned up at Transtar Recycling and Auto Parts, where the alleged perpetrator had taken it for cash. The vehicle was recovered and the investigation continues. ** |
