| Dawson Rd. head-on wreck injures Crofton woman |
|
A head-on collision on Dawson Springs Road last night sent a Crofton woman to the hospital to be checked out, but it could have turned out much worse. The crash happened near the 37-hundred block of Dawson Road around 5:15, according to the report from Sheriff’s Deputy Jeremy Dragoo, which says 22-year old Amanda Goodman of Mt. Carmel Camp Creek Road, Crofton attempted to pass a vehicle going northbound. Ms. Goodman didn’t see the oncoming southbound vehicle of 36-year old Daniel Miller of Edwards Mill Road at first and swerved in an attempt to avoid a wreck seconds later. Miller attempted to drive his vehicle into the ditch to avoid a collision, but the two vehicles instead swerved into each other—making a direct head-on impact. Ms. Goodman was checked out at Jennie Stuart Medical Center for non-life-threatening injuries, while Miller escaped any injury. Christian County Sheriff Livy Leavell went to the scene and said it was a miracle no one was seriously injured or killed, just looking at the wreckage. ** 12/18/2012/am |
