For the third time in about three years, someone drove a vehicle into the Hopkinsville Post Office Sunday morning.
No one was injured in the incident, with the latest crash happening near the middle of the building just east of where the concrete barriers end. The yellow pole barriers were constructed only recently following two other similar incidents.
The Hopkinsville Police report wasn’t available as of about 4pm, but officials say no one was hurt. Two men associated with the Postal Service were still at the scene late in the afternoon, when debris cleanup was all but complete.
A large window was broken out and a large section of post office boxes were knocked backward inside—with the ceiling and walls also sustaining damage.
We’ll have more details with the release of the report.
