KSP arrest New Concord man for Arson

Kentucky State Police say a New Concord man was arrested this week in connection with an ongoing arson case.

State Police say 46-year old Christopher Franklin of New Concord was arrested and that the arrest stemmed from an October 31st investigation where fire heavily damaged the Hamlin One Stop Grocery.

Franklin is charged with 2nd Degree Arson, Fraudulent Insurance Acts Over $500.00, Tampering with Physical Evidence and 1st Degree Wanton Endangerment.

Franklin remains lodged in the Calloway County Jail with no bond.

The investigation continues by Detective Frank Gresham of the Kentucky State Police.

Calloway County Fire and Rescue, Calloway County Sheriff’s Office, and the Kentucky State Fire Marshal’s Office assisted with the investigation.
