A Hopkinsville woman is now behind bars after police say she left her children home alone.
44-year old Lesia Acosta of Barberry Place is charged with two counts of endangering the welfare of a child.
According to Acosta’s arrest warrant, the children, who are 9 and 12 years old were left home alone overnight without food or any adult supervision.
The father of the children, who lives in Cadiz discovered they were home alone during a regular phone call.
Acosta was booked into the Christian County Jail on Friday.
