Hopkinsville Police investigate burglaries

Hopkinsville Police continue to investigate two separate incidents that took place over the weekend where suspects made off with dozens of food products from area businesses.

Police say the first burglary took place at Nanny’s Dinner located at 563 McLean Avenue Friday afternoon around 4:30 p.m.

Natasha Hobson told police that an unknown perpetrator made forced entry into the restaurant and unlawfully removed $480 worth of ribs along with other meats and also caused damages to the building.

In the second burglary incident, Lynn Morris reported that sometime Friday afternoon that an unknown person forced entry into Lets Go Play Academy, located at 15 Airport Road and stole an undisclosed amount of hamburger meat and milk, damaged items inside and fled the scene.

Police were able to obtain a copy of a surveillance video from the business and was placed into evidence.

Both burglaries remain under investigation with police following up on all leads.
