A young man was killed in a wreck in Clarksville early Sunday morning.

A news release from Clarksville Police says a 26-year old man was northbound on Trenton Road around 12:40am when a 23-year old female attempted to turn left onto the 101^st Parkway and drove into his path.

The male driver, who was not wearing his seat belt, was partially ejected from his car when he crashed into the woman’s vehicle in the intersection. The male was taken by ambulance to Gateway Medical Center, where he died from his injuries. The female was treated for non-life-threatening injuries at the hospital.

The name of the victim has not been released, pending family notification. It was the 16^th traffic fatality in Clarksville this year. Anyone who may have witnessed the wreck is asked to call Clarksville Police at 931-648-0656.
