Christian County students raising awareness on distracted driving

No text is worth dying for...which is why Christian County Public School officials are urging all students to become better drivers.

Students of the Hopkinsville High School Family, Career and Community Leaders of America Club are raising awareness and encouraging fellow students to refrain from texting while driving.

School District Spokesperson Heather Aubin talks about the no texting while driving campaign.

Ms. Aubin says there will be activities throughout the week to encourage students to not text and drive and learn about the consequences of distracted driving.

According to the National Safety Council, over 1.2 million crashes across the nation involved drivers using cell phones and texting this year.
