
A suspect has been arrested in connection with a stabbing incident early this morning on Hazel Street.
Charged with first degree assault and wanton endangerment is 57-year old Jesse Lee Buckner of Hopkinsville. The report says Buckner was in an altercation with 61-year old Moses White of Hopkinsville at 2121 Hazel around 12:20am when Buckner came at White with a knife and cut him across the arm.
The report says 47-year old Kimberly Wills of Hopkinsville attempted to break up the fight and Buckner is also accused of also trying to strike her with the knife. Ms. Wills was also cited into court on possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia charges. Police say Ms. Wills is on probation and was court ordered to not have contact with White.
Buckner was lodged in the Christian County Jail and White was treated for a severe laceration to the arm.
