|Senator McConnell says time is wasting in fiscal cliff negotiations|
Neither side is backing down as the "fiscal cliff" looms at the end of the month. Chatting with reporters, Senate Republican leader Mitch McConnell criticized President Obama's insistence on letting Bush-era tax cuts for the wealthy expire.
The Kentucky Senator also said an "enormous amount of time" has been wasted in public sparring sessions.
Sharp spending cuts would also go into effect next month if the country does fall off the so-called “fiscal cliff.”
