Senator Rand Paul comments on fiscal cliff

U.S. Senator Rand Paul of Bowling Green says he isn’t very optimistic there will be a compromise to keep the country from going over the fiscal cliff.

Senator Paul says allowing the Bush tax cuts to expire on anyone is counter-productive in the current economy.

The Senator says the government is wasting money in far too many places for there to even be any discussion of raising taxes on anyone at this point.

Senator Paul believes President Obama would enjoy coming back to Washington in January wanting to “lower taxes” if no deal is reached and that may be why the country is headed toward the fiscal cliff with little hope of compromise.
