Local woman injured after swerving to miss deer

A local woman was injured late last week after she ran off the road in an attempt to miss a deer.

The Christian County Sheriff’s Office report from Deputy Brandon Hawkins says 40-year old Donna Blankenship of Quisenberry Lane was northbound on Quisenberry when a deer ran out in front of her.

Ms. Blankenship swerved and lost control of her vehicle, causing it to run off the road and into a ditch. She was taken by ambulance to Jennie Stuart Medical Center for non-life-threatening injuries.
