A Forward Operating Base in Afghanistan where hundreds of 101st Airborne Division soldiers are located was attacked over the weekend.

Military officials say soldiers assigned to the 1st Brigade Combat Team that are stationed at FOB Fenty were awoke Sunday by a reminder of the serious stakes involved in the division's mission.

Officials say insurgents attacked FOB Fenty Sunday around 5:50 a.m. with all soldiers going unharmed.

The investigation into the early morning attack remains ongoing concerning the intent or target of the insurgents.

The brigade deployed to Afghanistan last month.
