An Eddyville man was killed and a Princeton man injured in a single-vehicle wreck in Lyon County Friday night, with alcohol thought to be a factor.
A news release from Kentucky State Police says 33-year old Jesse Bealmear of Princeton was southbound on KY 93 around 10pm when he ran off the road for an unknown reason. His vehicle traveled about 700 feet along the shoulder before hitting a tree.
Bealmear was flown from the scene to Deaconess Hospital in Evansville for serious injuries. His passenger, 37-year old James Campbell of Eddyville, was pronounced dead on the scene.
The investigation into the wreck continues, but KSP believes alcohol may have contributed.
