Two people injured following two-vehicle crash in Graves County

Kentucky State Police investigated a two-vehicle wreck with injuries in Graves County yesterday.

State Police say 19-year old Raeann Garnett of Hickory was driving eastbound on KY 849, while 46-year old Melissa Harrison of Fulton was driving northbound on US 45 and did not see Harrison’s vehicle as she attempted to cross to US 45.

As a result, Garnett struck Harrison’s vehicle causing it to roll over and land off to the side of the roadway.

Harrison’s passenger, 69-year old Carolyn Jones of Hickman was transported by ambulance to Jackson Purchase Medical Center, while Garnett was transported to the same hospital by family.

The Graves County Sheriff’s Office, the Mayfield/Graves County EMS, Viola Fire Department and Graves County Rescue also assisted at the scene.
