Elderly who drove away from Calloway Co. community home found safe

The elderly man suffering from dementia who walked away from a community home in Calloway County has been found safe.

Kentucky State Police say 77-year old George Vernot was located in Louisville, where he was said to be doing fine.

Vernot drove away from Brown Grove Community Home Monday afternoon and officials there became worried when they didn’t hear from him for several hours.
