Kentucky State Police investigated a single-fatality wreck in Livingston County this morning and identified the victim as 51-year old Cynthia L. Felts of Paducah.
State Police say Ms. Felts was the only person in the vehicle at the time of the wreck, which they say happened around 5:30 a.m. on US 60 approximately two miles east of Ledbetter.
State Police say preliminary investigation shows Ms. Felts was driving west on US 60 when her vehicle ran off the right side of the roadway for an unknown reason and traveled about 200 feet off the roadway overturning and striking a utility pole.
Ms. Ledbetter, who was not wearing a seatbelt was ejected from the vehicle and was pronounced dead on the scene by the Livingston County Coroner.
State Police say speed is believed to be a contributing factor in the collision.
The Livingston County EMS, Livingston County Coroner’s Office, and the Ledbetter Fire Department also provided assistance at the scene.
