A hit and run wreck on Calvin Drive last night sent one person to the hospital.

The report from Hopkinsville Police says 25-year old Randi Drake of Hopkinsville was southbound on Calvin around 7:30 slowing down to turn into the Calvin Manor apartments.

Ms. Drake said she noticed a small compact car traveling at a high rate of speed approaching the stop sign. As Ms. Drake made her left hand turn, the speeding car entered Calvin Drive and struck her pickup in the left side.

Drake was taken by ambulance to Jennie Stuart Medical Center for treatment of her injuries. The other vehicle was described as possibly being a gold colored, older model Nissan Maxima or Toyota Camry.
