A local teen was arrested following a traffic stop on Linwood Street early this morning for allegedly dealing drugs.

Hopkinsville Police pulled over what’s described on the report as a suspicious vehicle near 106 Linwood around 3:20 this morning, with officers reportedly smelling marijuana when they made contact with the driver—18-year old Jamauri Wilson of Hopkinsville.

A search of the vehicle allegedly turned up a baggy containing four individually wrapped bags of marijuana inside a fast food cup. Wilson allegedly admitted to smoking marijuana before being pulled over.

Wilson was arrested and charged with trafficking in marijuana, tampering with evidence and violation of his driver’s instructional permit.
