Hopkinsville Community College will be offering a Commercial Truck Driver’s License course for individuals interested in the trucking industry.
The 4-week course is designed for individuals with little or no commercial driving experience in preparation for an entry-level position in the trucking industry.
The CDL course will be held for 4-weeks, Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. and includes 160 hours of training and will cost $4,000.
Upon completion of the course, students will receive a CDL learner’s permit and Class A endorsement preparation, map reading, trip planning, and vehicle operation training, Department of Transportation rules, regulations and log books, Class A road test administered by the Kentucky State Police, a certificate of completion and job placement assistance and a Tractor Trailer Certificate from HCC.
HCC is partnering with Lake Cumberland Commercial Driver’s License Training School, Incorporated to offer the course, which will be open for registration on Monday, November 26th.
