The Kentucky State Police Commercial Vehicle Enforcement division has begun with a holiday season saturated patrol campaign.

A news release says patrols will be focused in high collision areas in an effort to reduce the number of fatal wrecks—which have traditionally spiked in the days before and after Thanksgiving.

The officers will be targeting any driving infractions by drivers of tractor-trailers or those driving near commercial vehicles. The extra patrols will be on the road until December 1^st.

CVE is encouraging motorists to always be aware of their driving behaviors and to report any unsafe drivers by calling Kentucky State Police at 1-800-222-5555. Callers can remain anonymous, but should be prepared to give a detailed description of the offending vehicle, location, direction of travel and license plate number.
