The historic Christian County Courthouse will see some renovations on the back side in the coming weeks after action by Christian Fiscal Court this morning.

An alley between the courthouse and the Alhambra Theater has been in dire need of repair for some time and Magistrate Jim Flemming says court decided now was the time made those fixes.

Squire Flemming says it made sense to add the renovations to the rear of the Christian County Courthouse to the project and he believes more needs to be done in the future to upkeep the building.

The project contract was awarded to the lowest bidder—Scott Murphy at 211-thousand dollars.

In other action, court approved a petition to close down a portion of Naomi Lane near Oak Grove at the request of a property owner.
