Veterans Day has come and gone, but a group of local citizens is already preparing to honor men and women who have served in another way next month.

Residents across the country will place wreaths on the graves of veterans December 15^th as part of the “Wreaths Across America” project. Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West Director Richard Stanley gave some details at Monday morning’s Veterans Day ceremony.

Stanley says the local chapter of the Gold Star Wives are helping to raise money for the project.
