HPD investigates armed robbery

Hopkinsville Police investigated the report of an armed robbery on East 19th Street Friday night.

The alleged incident happened just before midnight near the 1200 block of East 19th, according to the Hopkinsville Police report, which says 31-year old Angelica Rivera-Jose was robbed at gunpoint as she returned home from the grocery store.

The suspects are described as two black males with a small handgun. They got away with her purse and contents.
