A Murray man was arrested Saturday morning for allegedly stabbing a juvenile in Trigg County.

A news release from Cadiz Police says officers responded to an assault call at the Barkley Manor Apartments around 5:30am and talked to Latosha Woods. Ms. Woods said 28-year old Deronte Moss of Murray had knocked on her door earlier in the morning and that he forced his way inside after she opened.

Moss then allegedly began arguing with a 17-year old male at the home and used some type of knife to stab him in the arm. The juvenile was taken to Trigg County Hospital for treatment of his wound.

Moss was found at a Pine Street residence in Murray around 10:30 and was charged with assault and burglary. He was arrested after receiving treatment at Murray-Calloway County hospital with wounds consistent with being cut by a knife.

He was also served with a warrant by the Trigg County Sheriff’s Office for burglary charges for a an alleged incident earlier this month when he forced his way into Ms. Woods’ home and assaulted her.

Moss was lodged in the Christian County Jail.
