Todd County officials holding health assessment forum

Several agencies in Todd County are combining forces to host a forum later this month to address health issues in the community.

Nena Francies of the Todd School District and Shelbie Stokes of the Todd County Health Department appeared at this morning’s Fiscal Court meeting, where Ms. Francies gave the rundown on what the Todd County Community Assessment Forum will be about.

Breakfast and lunch will be served at the forum that’s scheduled for 9 until 1 O’clock on November 30th. Ms. Stokes says all different types of agencies, organizations and churches have been invited to participate and they are hoping for significant community involvement.

Todd Fiscal Court agreed to move its meeting that morning up an hour to allow magistrates time to attend. In other action, court gave Judge-Executive Daryl Greenfield authority to start accepting applications from non-profit and school organizations next week to remove litter from the side of roadways in exchange for 40 dollars per mile.

Court will meet again Friday, November 30th at 8am.
