Plans to bring multi-million dollar call center moving forward

Hopkinsville City Council tonight held a special-called meeting and approved several house keeping measures with Mayor Dan Kemp also giving an update about TeleTech Services Corporation of Colorado investing millions of dollars into the local economy.

Mayor Kemp says he is happy to say that he received word that plans continue to move forward for TeleTech to invest $12 million in establishing a customer service call center in the city.



Mayor Kemp says the 45-hundred square foot call center is expected to be in operation sometime in the first quarter of 2013 with bids already going out to construction companies to undertake renovation plans.

In other business City Council unanimously approved the first reading of an ordinance to authorize flasher lights on Koffman Drive with Mayor Kemp giving more details about the proposed ordinance.



City Council also unanimously approved the first reading of another ordinance to establish a no parking zone on East 10th Street.
