Retired Colonel speaks to Hopkinsville Kiwanians

A top ranking military official was the guest speaker at this week’s Hopkinsville Kiwanis Club meeting.

Retired Colonel Mitchell Sartain, who oversees Fort Campbell’s Junior ROTC program, spoke about the common goals the two organizations shared in molding the lives of children.



Colonel Sartain also spoke about how the JRTC program at Fort Campbell is considered to be among the best in the nation.



The JRTC program at Fort Campbell was established in 1975 with over 200 students currently enrolled in the programs, who have expressed an interest in joining the military after high school.
