Status of three local schools to be topic of discussion tonight

The Christian County Board of Education is holding a meeting tonight and one of the topics to be discussed by school board members includes the status of three local schools.

School board members will be discussing the status of Lacy Elementary, North Drive Middle School and Belmont Elementary School for the 2013-14 school year.

School Board Chairman, Barry Cornelius says school board members will be discussing the operational costs of the three schools.

Cornelius says tonight’s discussion is a part of possible redistricting plan for the school system.

In other business, board members will also discuss the breakdown of programs, cost-estimates for training and projection costs on redistricting as provided by Davis Demographics.

School board members will then review and discuss the results from K-Prep, Unbridled Learning Accountability, EXPLORE and PLAN exams.

The meeting is open to the public and is scheduled to take place at 5:30 p.m. at the Board of Education at 200 Glass Avenue.
