Man at North O'Neal home robbed after allowing man to use phone

A man at a North O’Neal Avenue home became the victim of robbery early this morning after letting someone inside to use the phone.

The Hopkinsville Police report says 68-year old James Hurt, Sr. let a man inside at 122 North O’Neal around 1:30am to use the telephone. When Hurt turned his back on the perpetrator, the man grabbed his wallet from his back pocket and pushed him onto a coffee table before fleeing the scene.

The suspect got away with cash and the wallet and the investigation continues.
