Eighth District State Representative John Tilley will serve a fourth term after winning by nearly five thousand votes in his areas of Christian and Trigg Counties.

Representative Tilley defeated challenger Max Sturdivant, Jr. 10,461-5,507 after a spirited campaign over the last several months.

Tilley says there are several issues lawmakers must get to work on next session in order to keep Kentucky headed in the right direction.

Sturdivant congratulated Tilley and said he hopes lawmakers will work together to solve the Commonwealth’s debt issues.

It will be the fourth term for Representative Tilley, who serves as House Judiciary Committee Chairman in Frankfort.
