Eight children and one adult were injured in a school bus versus deer wreck between Hopkinsville and Crofton this morning.           

Christian County Sheriff’s Deputy Adam Vanderkolk says Kenneth Buckner of Crofton was driving the bus when the incident happened around 7am on Madisonville Road near the Covered Wagon Road intersection.

Deputy Vanderkolk says the eight students and bus monitor were all taken to Jennie Stuart for minor injuries.

Deputy Vanderkolk said every student who complained of pain was taken to Jennie Stuart Medical Center.

Madisonville Road was completely shut down for about a half hour while the scene was cleared and the injured children were taken to the hospital.
