KSP release latest preliminary fatal wreck report

Preliminary statistics released by Kentucky State Police indicate that eight people died in eight separate wrecks on state roadways from Monday, October 15th through Sunday.

State Police reported single fatality motor vehicle crashes occurring Christian, Clay,
Henderson, Laurel, Marshall, Ohio and Spencer Counties with four of the victims not wearing seat belts and two of the crashes involved the suspected use of alcohol.

Police also reported that a pedestrian was struck and killed in Boyle County.

There were no fatal wreck reported in Trigg or Todd Counties during this time.

Through Sunday, preliminary statistics indicate that 568 people have lost their lives on Kentucky roadways since January, which is 25 less than what was reported for the same time period last year.
