Fort Campbell behavioral health services expanding

The 101st Airborne Division and Fort Campbell leadership want to ensure local soldiers continue to have top notch behavioral health services at their disposal.

A embedded behavioral health team, which consists of 13 clinical behavioral health professionals and support staff are now offering walk-in services to soldiers assigned to the 1st Brigade Combat Team in the area where soldiers live and work.

Chief of the 1st Brigade Combat Team Embedded Behavioral Health clinic, Major Bonnie Huber states that in addition to making it much easier for soldiers to access counseling services, it is also extremely beneficial to have direct access to brigade leaders and that this access helps reduce the stigma for soldiers to ask for help.

Post officials say this is the second embedded behavioral health team to stand up at Fort Campbell with soldiers assigned to the 4th Brigade Combat Team taking advantage of behavioral healthcare in their area since August of this year.
