For the first time in over 30 years, Pembroke hosted a Harvest Festival Saturday.
The event kicked off with a parade at 10am, where various local organizations, first responders and political candidates participated and threw candy to families lining Nashville and South Main Streets.
Pembroke City Clerk Holly Stokes said Pembroke wanted to bring back the tradition of hosting a festival each fall.
Ms. Stokes said officials were happy with the early turnout.
The festival is set to become an annual tradition for Pembroke.
