Woman injured after running into traffic from KSP during traffic stop

A young woman was injured and later arrested after an incident on Fort Campbell Boulevard yesterday afternoon.

A Kentucky State Trooper pulled over a vehicle near the Wal-Mart Distribution Center just before 1pm for a traffic stop and that’s when a 20-year old female got out and attempted to run away.

She ran into traffic and was struck by an oncoming vehicle, knocking her to the pavement. The woman was alert and breathing when an ambulance arrived and she was taken to Jennie Stuart Medical Center for non-life-threatening injuries.

KSP hasn’t yet released details regarding her identity or what charges she is facing.
