Local man injured after driving bicycle wrong way on one way street

A vehicle versus bicycle wreck at First and Main yesterday morning injured the biker.

The report from Hopkinsville Police says the incident happened around 11am when 75-year old Clendon Ezell of Hopkinsville had the green light and was attempting to turn right off First onto Main.

Headed the wrong direction on the one-way street was 39-year old William Paul of Hopkinsville, who ran into Ezell’s vehicle, throwing him from the bicycle.

Paul was taken by ambulance to Jennie Stuart Medical Center for pain to the lower leg.
