Hopkinsville girl injured in drive-by shooting released from hospital

Hopkinsville Police say the 8-year old girl who was shot in the abdomen Wednesday night at a Durrett Avenue residence during a drive-by shooting was released from the hospital yesterday.

Police also say they are searching for three men identified as Malcolm Rashaad Wright, Zachary Michael Lane and Mitchell Louis Wallace, who are wanted for questioning in connection with the drive-by shooting that took place around 7 p.m. Wednesday.

Police say anyone with information about the suspects are urged to contact police immediately and a $2,000 cash reward will be offered for any tip that leads to an arrest in this case.

As previously reported, police responded to 1413 Durrett Avenue just after 7 p.m. after someone in a vehicle fired shots into the residence that was occupied by the child and two adult females.

One of the adults, 59-year old Louvenia Wilford of Hopkinsville sustained minor injuries and was treated and released from Jennie Stuart Medical Center, while the other female went uninjured in the incident.

The Hopkinsville-Christian County Crime Stoppers organization is also offering a cash reward for information about the suspects who are responsible for the drive-by shooting.
