Officials with Jennie Stuart Medical Center say they want to reassure the public that they have not received or used any contaminated steroid shots from a compounding facility.

After receiving dozens of calls from concerned patients, Jennie Stuart officials say they want the public to be aware that the local hospital has not purchased or used the steroid from a compounding pharmacy that has been identified as the source of the contaminated medicine.

Officials say the problem was avoided altogether because the local hospital only uses FDA- approved medications and the steroid in question was not.
