For the second day in a row, a coffee cup is listed as a factor in a wreck with injury in the city limits of Hopkinsville.

The report from Hopkinsville Police quotes 53-year old Danny Hampton of Hopkinsville as saying he reached down to pickup a coffee cup while traveling west on Country Club Lane around 5pm yesterday.

When he looked back up, a vehicle driven by 38-year old Dawn Adcock of Hopkinsville was stopped. Hampton didn’t have time to stop and rear-ended Ms. Adcock’s car. A passenger in the front vehicle, 3-year old Kristen Adcock, was taken by ambulance to Jennie Stuart Medical Center.

Everyone involved was properly restrained.
